The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian has issued a statement on the law criminalizing the denial of the genocides adopted by the Cypriot parliament.  As the Press, Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the statement runs as follows:

"Armenia welcomes the unanimous adoption of law criminalizing the denial of the genocides adopted by the Cypriot parliament. This is a symbolic event, on the threshold of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

By the adoption of this law, Cyprus made an important contribution to the noble cause of the prevention of genocides and crimes against humanity".
