Armenian historian Lavrentiy Barseghyan dies

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The founder-director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, doctor of historical sciences Lavrentiy Barseghyan has died on December 6. The prominent Armenian scientist died aged 77. The Head of the Public Relations Department of the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovian (ASPU) Diana Markosyan confirmed the information in a conversation with “Armenpress”. Markosyan noted that Lavrentiy Barseghyan had been in coma for 20 days. According to the preliminary information, the requiem service may be held on December 8.

Lavrentiy Barseghyan was Doctor of historical sciences, professor, academician. He was born in 1937.
