Not first time, but captured Armenian villager's dead in Azerbaijan: Armenia's MFA official

YEREVAN, AUGUST 8, ARMENPRESS. The Head of the Press, Information, and Public Relations Department of the Minsitry of Foreign Affiars of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mkrtchyan urges the international community to condemn Azerbaijan’s inhumane acts. As reports “Armenpress”, the Head of the Press, Information, and Public Relations Department of the Minsitry of Foreign Affiars of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mkrtchyan made the following note on Twitter: “Not the first time, but captured Armenian villager's dead in Azerbaijan. Barbarism has no limits! Targeted condemnation & criticism is a must!”

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan states that the resident of Chinari village, 31-year old Karen A. Petrosyan, who was taken captive on August 7 in Aghbulagh village of the Tovuz region, “suddenly died due to unknown reason”. As reports “Armenpress”, the official website of the Minsitry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated this.

Among other things, the report states that according to the preliminary information, Karen Petrosyan died of cardiopulmonary decompensation and sharp myocardial decompensation.” Also, it was noted as if the experts of forensic medicine and pathologic anatomy centre of Azerbaijan’s Gyanja region are trying to reveal the true reasons of the Armenian captive’s death.

Previously “Armenpress” reported that the Governor of the Chinari border village of Armenia’s Tavush Samvel Saghoyan confirmed that the resident of their village 31-year old Karen A. Petrosyan had crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and was taken captive. The news saying that he was taken captive were previously spread in the Azerbaijani media reporting that the Armenian hostage was discovered by the resident of Aghbulagh village of the Tovuz region.

Among other things, the Governor of the Chinari border village of Armenia’s Tavush Samvel Saghoyan noted: “The boy liked drinking. The circumstances of crossing the border are not clear yet. But there are suspicions that he was drunk. We are trying to clarify how it happened.”
