YEREVAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS. The preliminary investigation conducted by the NKR law enforcement bodies revealed that Smbat Tsakanyan, 17-year old shepherd from Karvachar, was killed by the members of Azerbaijani subversive group, who penetrated into Karvachar.

"According to the data obtained by the preliminary investigation, Smbat Tsakanyan was kidnapped by Azerbaijani citizens Shahbaz Guliyev (1968), Dilham Askerov (1960), and a third person, whose identity is not defined by the preliminary investigation, and who was destroyed on the spot after demonstrating resistance to the NKR law enforcement bodies at the time of arrest, who illegally penetrated into the NKR territory for the purpose of carrying out armed subversive, intelligence and espionage activities,” reads the official message of the NKR General Prosecutor's Office.

As reports “Armenpress”, the criminal case initiated in connection with Smbat Tsakanyan’s murder on17.07.2014 was sent to the NKR National Security Service, to be attached to the criminal case of 09.07.2014 and to be investigated together.
