Armen Ashotyan and Taron Margaryan sign memorandum of understanding

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 27, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ashotyan and the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan signed a memorandum of understanding ahead of the international summit of education Ministers to be held in 2015.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ashotyan stated that the Municipality and the Ministry have great experience of cooperation in education, but the cooperation is a new direction in the field of higher education. Ashotyan highlighted that Armenia has undertaken the implementation of the Bologna process Secretariat since 2012 and in fact Yerevan has become the capital of the European education for already two years. “The Ministerial summit is the most important event of the Secretariat which is an event not only for education system but also for our country and, of course, for our capital. Since obtaining Secretariat the work of the Armenian team has been assessed efficiently. I am sure that the Ministerial summit of Yerevan will be one of the best in the history of Bologna process,” the Minister said. Armen Ashotyan also added that the European Students Union declared Yerevan 2015 student capital.
