YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 24, ARMENPRESS. The Midfielder of the Armenian National Football Team and Borussia Dortmund Henrikh Mkhitaryan hopes to see many Armenians in the stadium. As reports “Armenpress” citing Sovsport website, Henrikh Mkhitaryan stated: “We’ll do our best at the match against Zenit and fulfill the tasks set by Klopp. I am confident it won’t be easy for us in St. Petersburg. Notwithstanding a number of fans were glad that we’ll face with Zenit, but I don’t share their opinion.”

Among other things the Midfielder of the Armenian National Football Team and Borussia Dortmund Henrikh Mkhitaryan reflected upon the upcoming Russia - Armenia friendly match and particularly underscored: “I am glad we’ll play in Krasnodar. I hope to see many Armenians in the stadium. It will be an additional impetus for us.”

Previously it was reported that Football Federation of Armenia and Russian Football Union reached an agreement on playing a friendly match on March 5 at Kuban stadium, in Krasnodar, Russia. This will be the 5th match between these teams. The national teams of two countries first met in Euro-2000 qualification, where Russia won both matches, 3:0 in Yerevan and 2:0 in Moscow. Euro-2012 quaification round matches between these teams in Yerevan ended in a draw, while Russians beat Armenia 3:1 in Saint-Petersburg. Armenia will also play a friendly against Germany on June 6 in Mainz.
