Armenia's Government approves timetable for roadmap of Armenia's accession to Customs Union
YEREVAN, JANUARY 23, ARMENPRESS. The Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the timetable of actions aimed at the realization of events’ program (roadmap) of Armenia’s accession to Customs Union and Common Economic Space of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. As reports “Armenpress” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan stated that the roadmap implies the realization of 262 events. Among other things the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan underscored: “150 of those events must be realized before joining the Customs Union. It’s necessary to make editorial corrections and the correctness of the translations is of a certain importance at the present moment. We touched upon this issue at the course of yesterday’s working meeting as well.”
In the result of the negotiations on September 3, 2013 in Moscow the Presidents Sargsyan and Putin confirmed the aim of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation in the direction of further development of economic integration processes in the Eurasian territory. In that context the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan announced about the Armenia's decision to join the Customs Union and the necessity of implementation corresponding steps for that aim and in future about participating in formation of the Eurasian economic union. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin expressed his support to the abovementioned decision of Armenia and informed about the readiness of the Russian side to support the process.
