Russia's Putin Lands in Armenia

GYUMRI, 2 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS: Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Armenia has kicked off from the airport of Armenian city of Gyumri, 2 December. Armenpress correspondent reports, Putin was greeted by his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan. The visit of the Russian president is on the highest level of protocol of state visits. Presidents Sargsyan and Putin will attend a row of events in the city of Gyumri and capital Yerevan, including the Armenian-Russian Interregional Conference. The Presidents will also visit the 102nd Russian military base. The bilateral negotiations will kick off in the Presidential Residence in Yerevan. The interlocutors will discuss the realization of the agreements reached upon on September 3, 2013 in Moscow, exchange ideas regarding the activities aimed at Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union and Common Economic Space, and the future steps as well. Also, the sides will sign a row of documents aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations and cooperation. The results of the Armenian visit of the President of the Russian Federation will be summed up at the course of the meeting of Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin with the mass media representatives.
