YEREVAN, JUNE 27, ARMENRPESS. "Armenpress" News Agency had an interview with the Head of Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia Vahram Shahinyan regarding the clamorous cases, challenges the service had to face with during the upcoming years, personnel policy, and the assassination, which took place in the surroundings of Syunik's former Governor Surik Khachatryan's house.

- Mr. Shahinyan, which is the main objective of the Special Investigation Service for the upcoming years?

- The main objective of the Special Investigation Service is the organization of efficient struggle against crimes and protection of rights and legal interests of the people provisioned in the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. Undoubtedly, a row of objective and subjective factors are necessary for the realization of this objective. These factors will enable us to find the solution of those problems the Special Investigation Service currently has to face with.

- Mr. Shahinyan, You have already dismissed a row of workers. Does this stipulate "staff carnage"?

- Certain number of the Special Investigation Service workers was dismissed according to their own applications and this cannot be called "staff carnage".
