KAPAN, JANUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. Snowy weather reigns all over Syunik Province since January 8. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions parts of Yerevan-Meghri, Goris-Stepanakert interstate highways, which are passing through the province are open and passable. Periodically the highways are being cleaned and worked out with salt and sand.

Snowstorm reigns in Meghri Mountain Pass since 08:30, January 8. The cleaning of the road is in progress now. Notwithstanding because of strong wind, snowstorm, and fog the works are periodically being interrupted. In spite of the whole difficulties that part of Yerevan-Meghri highway is passable and there are no traffic jams on the road.

"Zanger" part of Yerevan-Meghri highway is still almost impassable because of strong snowstorm and poor visibility. Strong wind, snowstorm, and fog impede progress of the vehicles. There are no traffic jams here presently. Notwithstanding traffic jams occurred in Vayots Dzor, but a little bit later the traffic was again restored.
