YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Yerevan women basketball club "Hatis" has a great chance to pass selective stage of the European championship. Deputy Chairman of Basketball Federation of Armenia Vahagn Hovhannisyan said this to "Armepress". According to Vahagn Hovhannisyan now they are negotiating with basketball players form foreign clubs of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus and only seven of them will finally have an agreement with "Hatis". Deputy Chairman of the federation underlined that if the stage of the formation of the team goes as they planned, then we will see "Hatis" victorious very soon.

Preparation and training stage will start within a month. There is no information yet about the time of the first game and the first opponent of "Hatis".

"Hatis" basketball club is the most triumphant basketball team of Armenia of all times. In USSR "Hatis" women basketball team from Abovyan had a great success in all major tournaments in USSR and in 1989 won the USSR Cup. From 2009-2010 "Hatis" took part in the group stage of the European championship, and was included in the list of 32 teams playing in play-off of the Cup of Europe
