YEREVAN, JUNE 15, ARMENPRESS: Festive March will declare the launch of State Symbol Day of the Republic of Armenia. The march will kick off in the Matenadaran , 19: 30 pm.Over 500 young men will walk over Nalbandyan, Amiryan streets ,will cover Sayat-Nova and Mashtots avenues, France square and then will unite in the Republican Square.

In the words of the interlocutor during the first match, launched in 2010 about 2000-3000, and in 2011 about 5000-6000 people partook at the event. Sargsyan assures that the interest towards State Symbol Day ratchets up.

 In the words of Dasnakcutyun History Museum head Anush Amseyan, state symbols, being a visiting card of the state are not chosen by chance. “The flag adopted in 1918, regardless of disagreements, is a right choice"  Amseyan noted adding  that Armenian nation kept the flag as a sacred thing even in the most difficult times of its history.

The laws on “Flag and the emblem of the Republic of Armenia” were adopted in 2006, June 15. First time State Symbol Day was widely celebrated in Armenian on the same day of its adoption in 2010.

 The events launched within the framework of State Symbol Day are initiated by “We” national values preservation fund and by the assistance of Armenian Young Fund.
