Everyone is waiting for the New Year irrespective of age, sex, post. People tie their wishes and dreams with that day. Armenpress tried to find out what expectations representatives of the executive power of Armenia have from this holiday. Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan presents his expectations from the New Year.

- Mr. Davtyan New Year has a special sacrament. On this day people make wishes, believe in miracles. Do you believe in New Year miracle?

- Yes, I think sometimes miracles happen.

- Is there a dream, a wish you make each New Year so that it comes true?

- Of course there is. I have a habit: every year few minutes before the midnight, I review in my mind the passed year trying to understand what I have succeeded and what not. In this way I am trying to give general assessment to myself, whether the passing year was successful or not. For the coming year I am keeping one, two wishes and I put a goal in front of me trying to reach it.

- Everyone loves getting presents. There are also presents which are being remembered throughout the life. Which one will you remember?

- To tell the truth, I do not like getting presents that much. I must choose myself what I need. And of course the best gifts are not material ones: they may be kind attitude, a pleasant step, action. It is much more pleasant for me.  

- Though celebrations bring happiness and joy, very often they are accompanied with pleasant “worries” among them is New Year shopping. Is it a worry or pleasure for you?

- As you know at the end of the year we are working in tougher schedule and that is the reason why I do not find enough time for participating in all the necessary shopping. But the main New Year shopping I conduct together with my spouse, usually on the last days.

- What will you wish the people in New Year?

- Let the coming 2012 be a year of peace and unity, stability and welfare. Let the house of each Armenian be filled with warmth and happiness.
