YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. Armenian developers have launched the Stylebit web design platform for easy integration of existing design systems into a unified workflow that is scalable. The platform is a central hub for design collaboration enabling the entire team to work simultaneously and reducing the need for time-consuming meetings.

“We offer automation of the design system. The design system features all types of colors, fonts etc. We are automating its accessibility in the code. If a designer has synchronized the design system with the code through our platform and is planning to make changes, there’s no need to meet with the engineer. This is all done automatically, enabling to make documentation. As a result, the designer-engineer collaboration is accelerated, thus enabling to save time and nerves,” Stylebit co-founder Khachatur Virabyan told ARMENPRESS.

Virabyan, together with fellow developers Movses Saponjyan and Hovhannes Ghevondyan, came up with the idea of creating the startup in 2018. Initially they developed a preliminary version to test it and identify potential shortcomings. The current version was launched in early 2022.

“Since all three of us are engineers, we would often encounter the problem of time-consuming designer-engineer discussions. We realized that this problem requires a solution,” Virabyan added.

Not missing the chance to further develop the platform, the co-founders of the startup are working on a new idea.

“The design is done in Figma, and programming in GitHub or other coding platform. Our work is in between. When the designer completes their job and hands it over to the engineer through our platform, we separate the task of the engineers from the design, the documentation written by the designer. And the AI system simplifies the documentation process for the designer,” Virabyan said.

Stylebit got pre-seed funding from the Formula and BigStory venture capital funds. Stylebit is a B2B SaaS platform. “The platform is available, we need feedbacks. Taking this opportunity, I’d like to call on our Armenian designers to sign up and test the functions of our platform. We value every single feedback,” the co-founder said.

Stylebit plans to consider expanding its team after officially entering the market soon. The founders of the platform plan to attract seed investments in September.
