YEREVAN, JANUARY 28, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia Vahe Ghazaryan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopirkin, ARMENPRESS was informed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs also participated in the meeting.

Welcoming the guests, Vahe Ghazaryan emphasized the effective cooperation with the Russian Federation and the strong cooperation between the law enforcement structures of the two countries, both within the framework of bilateral and international organizations.

Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin thanked for the warm reception, congratulated Vahe Ghazaryan on his appointment as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and wished him success.

The Ambassador also emphasized the close cooperation between the Armenian and Russian Ministries of Internal Affairs, as well as between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia and the Russian Embassy in RA.

The parties expressed readiness to continue and expand cooperation.

Arpine Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, presenting the reforms implemented in the system, mentioned the formation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the work carried out in the police, rescue and migration services.

During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest and related to future activities within the framework of the cooperation were discussed.
