New mobile HIV testing clinic to operate in Armenia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. A new mobile HIV/AIDS testing clinic donated by Russia was inaugurated at the National Center for Infectious Diseases today. The clinic is the fourth mobile HIV/AIDS testing clinic which will be used in remote regions of Armenia.

The Ambassador of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin was in attendance at the event.

Deputy Minister of Healthcare Lena Nanushyan said in her remarks that for many years the ministry of healthcare and the government have been carrying out several programs for making HIV testing accessible.

Nanushyan said the project is carried out with the efforts and support from Russian colleagues.

Ambassador Kopyrkin said that fighting HIV and other viruses is a priority for Russia in humanitarian cooperation.
