PM Pashinyan inspects ambulances donated by Japanese government

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. The Japanese government donated new ambulance vehicles to Armenia as part of the Economic and Social Development grant agreement singed in June, 2020.

The donation is comprised of 39 ambulances worth 3,5 million dollars. 4 of the vehicles are mobile intensive care units.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Healthcare Minister Anahit Avanesyan, Vice Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan, Member of Parliament Arsen Torosyan, Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Masanori Fukushima and other officials attended the ceremonial handover.

“I am very happy today that the Japanese government is donating the new generation ambulance vehicles to Armenia. Armenia and Japan have developed the friendly relations over the past 30 years,” Ambassador Fukushima said.

He said that the improvement of healthcare services is among the priorities of Japan’s support to Armenia.

Healthcare Minister Anahit Avanesyan said the donation will definitely increase the quality of medical services.
