YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure announced that the drinking water tariff will not increase for the citizens until 2024.

“Concerning the media reports on the increase of the drinking water tariff by around 9 drams starting from January 1, we would like to inform that the Public Services Regulatory Commission has already completed the examination of the application of Veolia Djur and must make a decision at the session scheduled to be held by late November. Regardless of the final decision of the Commission, the government will neutralize the increase of the tariff for all groups of consumers with a respective subsidy if necessary. This means that the tariff of the drinking water will not increase for the citizens until 2024”, the ministry said in a statement.
