Armenia is committed to act for the sake of OIF – Pashinyan meets with OIF Gen.-Sec.

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan visited the Office of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie and met with its Secretary General Louise Mushikiwabo.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Louise Mushikiwabo greeted the Armenian PM and highly assessed Armenia’s effective chairmanship over the OIF. The OIF Secretary-General noted that Armenia is one of the key members of the organization and has a great contribution to the organization and the development of cooperation inside the organization. Louise Mushikiwabo presented to PM Pashinyan the planned reforms in the area of the organization.

The Armenian PM highlighted the development of cooperation in various directions in the organization and noted that all the initiatives that will be aimed at the raising of the effectiveness of the organization will be approved by the Armenian side.

During the meeting Louise Mushikiwabo presented to PM Pashinyan the process of the organization of the OIF summit to take place in 2020 in Tunis.

As the end of the meeting Pashinyan also made a note in the “Golden book” of the OIF. “On the occasion of my visit to the headquarter of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie and as the chair of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, I reaffirm the commitment of Armenia to act for the sake of Francophonie and the spread of its values”, PM Pashinyan wrote.
