UAE Ambassador highly appreciates Armenia’s sports medicine and medical tourism
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Healthcare Minister Arsen Torosyan today received Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Armenia Mohamed AlZaabi, the ministry told Armenpress.
During the meeting the officials discussed the bilateral cooperation directions.
The Ambassador introduced the achievements of the Armenia-UAE cooperation and stated that the UAE healthcare minister is ready to expand the partnership frameworks. He proposed to sign a new memorandum of cooperation which will put a beginning to new relations.
Mohamed AlZaabi highly appreciated Armenia’s sports medicine and medical tourism and expressed a wish to develop programs at these directions. He also introduced the principles of the UAE medical insurance.
The sides discussed the investment opportunities in Armenia aimed at developing pharmaceutics which will enable to export the drugs of local production to the EAEU states and other markets.
Minister Torosyan proposed to update the current agreement, by expanding the cooperation spheres, developing student exchange programs, medical tourism development, etc.
“I will be happy if we manage to use our state relations to use the qualitative potential of Cleveland Clinic of Abu Dhabi in Armenia”, Arsen Torosyan said.
