YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. The Investigative Committee has denied a report by Hayeli – an online Armenian media outlet – which has alleged in an article that Hayk Harutyunyan told witnesses before killing himself that the Prosecutor General and the Head of the Special Investigations Service have pressured him to make false testimonies.

“Hayeli.am website has published an article titled “I am being forced to make false testimonies, but Robert Kocharyan and Gegham Petrosyan aren’t guilty: Hayk Harutyunyan’s final words before suicide”.

We inform that with the purpose of revealing the circumstances of Hayk Harutyunyan’s death the person who was with him at the scene has been questioned.

The latter has informed about the content of his conversation with Hayk Harutyunyan, which did not have relation to any pressures on him within the framework of the criminal case into the March 1 events or generally making pressures by anyone.

The Investigative Committee is announcing that the article published at Hayeli.am is false.

We call on the media outlet to refrain from publishing unconfirmed information,” the Investigative Committee said.

The General Prosecution also denied the report earlier.
