YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Member of Armenia’s weightlifting team, World and Europe Champion Simon Martirosyan congratulated the Armenian people on the Independence Day.

“It’s already 28 years September 21 is a holiday for all Armenians. It’s a day when our state was born again and became an independent Republic of Armenia. I congratulate all of us on this day, wishing prosperity to our homeland, and we in our turn will contribute to our country’s development and the mission to always keep the Armenian flag at the highest positions”, he told Armenpress.

Today, the Third Republic of Armenia is celebrating its 28th anniversary of Independence.

This year the main celebrations are taking place in Gyumri, the second largest city of Armenia.
