YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Preparations for the upcoming Yerevan session of the Eurasian Economic Union’s Supreme Council are proceeding normally, foreign ministry spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan told ARMENPRESS when asked to comment at which stage the preparations are and when the preparation groups of delegations will arrive.

She said the preparation works with all partners are taking place for already a while now.

“Usually the security and protocol issues are discussed on spot with participation of respective delegations maximally ten days ahead of such summits,” she said, adding that the Armenian foreign ministry has already invited preparation groups of the delegation for the discussion on a specific date. “Let me repeat that the preparation works are proceeding normally,” she said.

The session will take place October 1 in Yerevan. Leaders of all EEU countries are expected to arrive for the meeting.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Moldovan President Igor Dodon are also invited to the event as guests.
