YEREVAN, MARCH 23, ARMENPRESS. A nationwide “subbotnik”, or a community service day, has kicked off in Armenia as part of the Clean Armenia program initiated by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development.

Cleaning, waste removal, landscaping and other improvement activities will take place today in all towns, communities and cities across Armenia. Citizens are encouraged to be actively involved in this voluntary initiative.

Government officials are also taking part in the cleaning.

Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan himself is participating in the event, cleaning the streets of Yerevan together with ordinary citizens. Mayor Hayk Marutyan, Cabinet members and lawmakers are also actively involved.
