YEREVAN, MARCH 8, ARMENPRESS. It wasn’t an ordinary Friday today for Yerevan police.

The Yerevan Police Department was put on heightened patrol mode. Their mission – to locate and pull over WOMEN drivers. Objective –gift flowers. Yes, indeed, the professional and burly Yerevan cops have a soft and romantic side.

As Armenia is celebrating International Women’s Day today on March 8th, police officers decided to surprise women drivers by gifting flowers in what first would seem to be a routine traffic pullover.

Pedestrians were no exception. On-duty officers in the streets of Yerevan would approach women pedestrians to gift beautiful spring flowers and wish a happy day.

“Dear women and girls, once again congratulations, we wish you much light and warmth,” police said in a statement.
