Armenian PM arrives in Isfahan on 2nd day of Iran visit

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 28, ARMENPRESS. As part of the ongoing official visit to Iran, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has arrived in Isfahan, the PM’s office said.

Pashinyan is accompanied by his wife Anna Hakobyan and the governmental delegation.

Accompanied by Isfahan Province Governor Abbas Rezaie, Pashinyan visited the Naqsh-e Jahan Square, the central plaza of Isfahan city, where spiritual and cultural institutions are located.

Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan toured the city and were familiarized with the history of Iranian spiritual and cultural structures in the city, including the Imami and Sheikh Lotfollah mosques and the Ali Kapu Palace.

At a luncheon with Governor Abbas Rezaie, the Armenian PM attached importance to cooperation between Iranian and Armenian provinces, which will be contributed to by mutual visits, creation of friendly ties and implementation of practical steps.

The governor thanked Pashinyan for visited the Isfahan province and highly appreciated the role of the local Armenian community in the development of the province.

Pashinyan is also scheduled to meet with the Armenian community of Isfahan later in the day.
