YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 18, ARMENPRESS. American Senator Marco Rubio has warned Venezuelan soldiers that they would commit a "crime against humanity" if they blocked the entry of U.S. aid being channeled through rivals of disputed socialist President Nicolás Maduro, Fox News reports.

Rubio was visiting Cucuta on Sunday, where U.S. aid packages were being prepared for distribution by opposition leader Juan Guaido.

Guaido is recognized by the U.S. and several other countries as Venezuela’s legitimate president.

Meanwhile, Maduro has been using troops to block aid from entering, claiming it’s unnecessary and part of a coup to overthrow him.
