YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 15, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the delegation led by Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Leonid Kalashnikov on February 15.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the press service of the parliament of Armenia, greeting the guests, Ararat Mirzoyan assured that the newly elected parliament is interested in further developing and deepening the Armenian-Russian relations that have traditionally friendly background and rich history. Recording the relations based on strategic partnership and mutual confidence, the parliament Speaker highlighted the deepening of the active cooperation on international parliamentary platforms.

Thanking for the reception, Leonid Kalashnikov expressed confidence that the mutually beneficial Armenian-Russian partnership will be continuous. He highlighted the creation of the  Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration, which will foster the effective cooperation between the homologous committees.

The interlocutors emphasized the dynamic development of bilateral relations in all spheres, discussed the prospects for implementing new joint projects.
