Turkey to open embassy in East Jerusalem

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Following the move by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to recognize Jerusalem the capital of Palestine Turkey will open an embassy in East Jerusalem, ARMENPRESS reports, citing Xinhua agency, Turkish foreign minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu announced.

He added that Turkey will make all the efforts to achieve international recognition of Jerusalem as Palestinian capital unless the USA steps back from the decision to recognize Jerusalem the capital of Israel.
