YEREVAN, DECEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has released the judgment for the Sargsyan vs. Azerbaijan case on December 12.

The ECHR ruled that Azerbaijan must pay 5000 Euros, plus any tax that may be chargeable, in respect of pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage, as well as 30,000, plus any tax that may be chargeable to them, in respect of costs and expenses, to Vladimir Sargsyan and Tsovinar Sargsyan within three months.

Sargsyan filed a lawsuit to the ECHR in 2006 against being exiled from his own residence and the destruction of his home, violation of his right for property, violation of his right for private and family life, the destruction of several Armenian cemeteries in Azerbaijan, forced deportations of Armenians from their homes, discriminations based on national and religious backgrounds, and facts of violence against Armenians, and the inaction of the government.
