YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. The Armenia My Love event was kicked off with a flashmob in Republic Square, Yerevan.

Culture Minister Armen Amiryan was personally present at the event.

Various song and dance ensembles performed national dances in the center of the Square.

The ensembles later departed for provinces of the country on a tour.

An unprecedented concert program is planned December 2-3 in 40 communities nationwide.

Minister Amiryan said they launched the “Cultural Stop” program since the beginning of the year, with sponsors assisting in organizing 426 such events nationwide.

He mentioned that 40 music bands are heading to various provinces of the country, and a “cultural firework” will happen during the upcoming two days.

“It is important for us to awaken the imaginary world of a child living in a remote village, to enable our citizens to communicate with modern arts”, he said.
