Armenpress 10:34, 29 June, 2016

YEREVAN, JUNE 29, ARMENPRESS. The “Electric Network of Armenia” plans to install new electricity meters for 50 thousand consumers in the current year. The devices are automatic electricity metering systems, says Head of the Automatic Metering Systems Department of the ENA Michael Kudoyan.

“This system will allow consumers to get informed about their meters’ figures online. Subscribers will get a username and password to enter the system. Subscribers can view their electricity expense from home. Subscribers will immediately see interferences, in case they happen”, Kudoyan said.

He says the so called “electrician-inspector” will become obsolete, but those professionals will be qualified to for maintenance of the new systems.

“Not many people will lose their jobs. The best of the electrician-inspectors, who deserve to stay and serve their knowledge for this system, will be qualified and will continue working”, Kudoyan said.
