YEREVAN, APRIL 13, ARMENPRESS. Military solutions cannot solve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. As “Armenpress” reports, this was stated by Member of the European Parliament representing Cyprus Costas Mavrides during a speech in the European Parliament.

He stressed the importance of using investigative systems of ceasefire violations, and said that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs should urge both sides to apply these systems.

“Without the usage of this mechanism the sides will continue to blame one another for violations. Armenia has agreed to discuss details of this mechanism, whereas Azerbaijan has refused”, Mavrides said. The MEP added that this mechanism will save lives.
