YEREVAN, JANUARY 19, ARMENPRESS. The Government of the Republic of Armenia intends to expand the geography of services in telecommunications industry in 2016 as well as ensure high quality in the services using new technologies corresponding to international standards.  Namely, it is expected to increase the number of the internet users in the territory of the Republic of Armenia by at least 5%. As “Armenpress” reports, the realization of the activities is included in the top priority projects of the Republic of Armenia Government.

As of March 2015 data, the number of the internet users (including 3G and GPRS) in the Republic of Armenia has reached over 67%, so according to general data, there are 2 million users.
