Maternal death 3-year index sharply decreases in Armenia
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Research done within the framework of Millennium Development Goals documents that the average maternal death index has twice reduced during the period of 1990-2014 (40.3 death cases out of 100 thousand births during 1999-2001 and 18.8 death cases during 2011-2013). As “Armenpress” was informed from the Ministry of Health, thank to reforms in the Healthcare system, a mother’s life is saved once every 4-5 days.
The statement issued by the Ministry mentions that maternal death index in Armenia is the best among CIS states and is similar to Eastern Europe.
