YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. Vice President of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov considers the UN speech of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan as befitting an all-Armenian leader. Sargsyan referred in his speech to the issues the Armenian society is concerned with nowadays. Sharmazanov told the latter to “Armenpress” emphasizing that the President clearly showed the real face of Azerbaijani state, that Azerbaijan is a militarized state which is a great problem for the entire region.

“Republic of Armenia President singled out two basic issues: first – the international community, the UN, the Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the civilized world must put Azerbaijan in its proper place as the latter first of all neglects the principles adopted by international community and the five provisions of the Minsk Group Co-Chair countries. Message number two – if the civilized world is not able to put Azerbaijan in its proper place, then the Republic of Armenia, making use of the circumstance of ensuring security for the people of Armenia, Nagorno Karabakh citizens, will impose peace on Azerbaijan with all its rights and obligations and  that imposition will be realized both by legal and military-political ways, ” Sharmazanov emphasized, adding that Armenia had announced on numerous occasions that it was against  the military solution of the conflict but that Armenia had to take other measures to end Azerbaijan’s obscene behavior.

On September 29, President Serzh Sargsyan partook in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, where he made an address. Sargsyan noted in his speech that Azerbaijan completely disdained 5 joint Statement issued by the Presidents of the U.S., Russia and France, and the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group and if it continued its aggressive policy, it would not leave Armenia any other choice but to take necessary legal and political-military steps to provide the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Republic with the opportunity to develop security and peace.
