Events dedicated to centennial of Armenian genocide took place in Lebanon

YEREVAN, JULY 21, ARMENPRESS.  A number of events dedicated to the centennial of the Armenain genocide took place on July 18-20 in Lebanon. The Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that the opening of the museum after the name of “Aram Bazikyan” took place in””Birds’ Nest” under the patronage of Aram 1, the  Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia. The museum is dedicated to the memory of the Armenian orphans who were saved, and found shelter in the institution.

The ceremony was attended by foreign heads and representatives of churches, all the heads of the Diocesan Assembly, Rony Oreiji- the Minister of Culture of Lebanon, the  representative of the President of Armenia and the Minister of Diaspora Affaires of the Republic of Armenia - Hranush Hakobyan, the Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon - Ashot Kocharyan, Hayk Demoyan - the Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, many political and cultural figures, foreign guests.
