TBILISI, JULY 20, ARMENPRESS. The president of the European Council Donald Tusk, who is in Georgia on a working visit, announced that Georgia needs to make serious reforms especially in the fight against corruption and drug proliferation in order to be able to have a visa-free regime with the EU. As “Armenpress” reports, citing TASS, Tusk announced this during the press conference with the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili.

“In order to have a visa free regime with the EU, Georgia must implement some extra reforms. First of all it refers to that Georgia should actively fight against corruption, human trafficking and drug proliferation”, mentioned Tusk, adding that he has a huge desire for Georgia to have a visa-free regime cooperation with the EU, but the President of the European Council emphasized that only his desire cannot be a guarantee and reforms are needed as well.
