YEREVAN, 27 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The six artists of Genealogy Group, which will be representing Armenia at Eurovision Song Contest 2015, participated in a unique and interesting photo session in Armenia. As the Department of Public Relations of First Channel (Arajin Alik) reports to “Armenpress”, Geneaology presents its origin by staying true to the format for Armenia’s participation in this year’s song contest.

The members of the group bear within themselves and try to present the rich Armenian cultural heritage to Europeans. The photo session was held in the yard of St. Gevorg Armenian Church of Mughni where the members present Armenian national and cultural traditions, the features and attractiveness of Armenian architecture, as well as the uniqueness and originality of Armenian sculpting. The stylist is Armen Galyan, and the photographer is Ruben Martirosyan.

Armen Galyan combined various shades of black and gray and various textures that helped make the photos look more like 3D photos. The clothes were sewn with a simple cut and with larger shoulder width, which is considered trendy now. Special badges made with old photos of the grandparents of the members from Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora and ornaments of Armenian architecture and the Armenian church of Mughni were used to stress the image and make it complete. The badges symbolize the name of the group, “Geneaology”, the idea of etymology that lies at the core of the format for Armenia’s participation, as well as the characteristics of the centuries-old culture of the Armenian people.
