Suspect on Gyumri murder pleaded guilty

GYUMRI, JANUARY 13, ARMENPRESS. The serviceman of the Russian military base 102 Valery Permyakov, suspected in the assassination of the family of 6 in Armenia’s Gyumri, has given first testimonies and confessed his crime. The First Deputy Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia Hunan Poghosyan stated this at the course of the press conference held on January 13 in Gyumri.

As reports “Armenpress”, among other things, the First Deputy Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia Hunan Poghosyan underscored: “He stated that he has gone to the city to walk and entered the house, where the incident occurred. The detainee remains in the Russian military base.”

In addition, the First Deputy Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia Hunan Poghosyan highlighted that all the measures aimed at the clearance of crime of the crime continue. The case is under the strict surveillance of the law enforcement authorities.

Previously it was reported that Russian frontier troops have arrested the suspect of the assassination in Armenia’s Gyumri, who attempted to cross the Armenian-Turkish border. The Frontier Department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Bayandur village.

The Frontier Department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in Armenia has taken extraordinary measures of security on the border in connection with the Gyumri case. The line of the Armenian-Turkish border was surrounded and it was guarded by a group of frontier troops led by the officers to prevent the suspect’s possible penetration to Turkey.
