YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS. The relatives of the prominent Turkish journalist and author Ahmet Abakay heap reproaches on him for publishing his book titled "Hoşana's Last Word" dedicated to the story of his ethnic-Armenian mother. As reports "Armenpress" citing Turkish Radikal periodical, Ahmet Abakay stated that he received threats from his relatives with the following content: "You can't call my uncle an Armenian. I'll collect your books."

Among other things the Turkish author stated: "If I hear such things today even from my relatives, then it’s natural that Hoşana lived in fear for such a long time." In addition Ahmet Abakay underscored that his relatives keep calling him and demanding to remove the fact about Hoşana's Armenian identity from the book.

Just one day before she passed away, a woman in Turkey who had hidden her Armenian identity for 82 years revealed the secret to her youngest son.

Hoşana, who was brought up as an Alevi in a Kurdish village, told the secret to her youngest son, journalist Ahmet Abakay.

Abakay is the president of a journalists' association, and has now published a book titled Hoşana’nın Son Sözü (Hoşana’s Last Word), which details his mother's story.
