Narek Sargsyan to transfer sum of state award to homeless people of Gyumri

YEREVAN, JANUARY 20, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Urban Development of the Republic of Armenia Narek Sargsyan will transfer the money received as a state award (1 million and 667 thousand drams) to “Shirak centre” NGO as an assistance to the project carried out by the NGO to support families in need. “Armenpress” was informed about this from the press service of Urban Development Ministry.

By the decree of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, State Awards 2015 of the Republic of Armenia have been bestowed in a number of spheres. The solemn awarding ceremony took place at the President’s Residency on January 20. Architect Narek Sargsyan, constructor Paul Chatalbashyan and director of “Spitak Tnak” LtD Stepan Akhoyan received the award for the administrative complex built on Vazgen Sargsyan Street.

In his speech Narek Sargsyan mentioned that ideological base of the complex was to put the emphasis on independence. “We wanted to build something that could be modern and contemporary, but at the same time be faithful to Armenian mentality, language, traditions, the capital of all Armenians-Yerevan”.
