Holy Lance was brought down to Mother Cathedral

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS.Armenian Apostholic Church celebrated with great pomp the day of Apostles St. Thaddeus and St. Bartholomew and Holy Divine Liturgy was served in the Mother Cathedral. As “Armenpress” reports, the Holy Lance was brought down to the Mother Cathedral during the liturgy and pilgrims worshipped it. Holly Lance will be kept in Mother Cathedral till today’s evening.

As a token of appreciation of the pious Armenians and foreign pilgrims, by the Sacred Patriarchal Condac of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the day of the founders of the Armenian Church, Apostles St. Thaddeus and St. Bartholomew has been declared as the day of sacrament of the Holy Lance that pierced the side of Jesus. This year, the Holy Lance will be brought down to the Mother Cathedral on November 28, providing pilgrims with the opportunity to worship the Holy Sign, kiss it and ask the Lord to treat the body and soul and grant them strong faith and courage.
