Maksim Manukyan completes world championship appearances without serious results

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS: Greco-Roman wrestler Maksim Manukyan did not achieve any significant results during World Championship.

According to "Armenpress" report, Manukyan (85 kg) was defeated at the world championship which was taking place in Las Vegas by Russian wrestler David Chakvetadze. He lost 3: 5.

Up to now, from 7 wrestlers Arthur Aleksanyan was the only one to succeed in becoming the world champion. Mihran Harutyunyan was also very close to winning a medal, but the referees were unfriendly to him during both the semi-final and the bronze-medal. The above mentioned two wrestlers will also participate in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
