Tigran Martirosyan becomes European weightlifting champion

YEREVAN, 14 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s representative at the European Weightlifting Championships in Tbilisi, Tigran Martirosyan (77 kg weight category) became Europe’s champion for the third time, while Andranik Karapetyan scored the bronze medal.

In this weight category, Armenia had two representatives, including Tigran Martirosyan and Andranik Karapetyan. Martirosyan lifted 160 kg in the snatch drill and scored the small silver medal, while Andranik Karapetyan lifted 165 kg and scored the small gold. In the biathlon, Martirosyan was unsurpassed, and Karapetyan was in third place with 350 kg.
