YEREVAN, MARCH 27, ARMENPRESS: In the framework of the EU-funded project “SolveNet” a training session for the 10 recruited NGO's from Armenia, who will coordinate at local level the citizen engagement in the process of prioritization, design and implementation of local development policies, will take place on April 3-4 in Yerevan.

Armenpress reports that during the training the non-governmental organizations from the targeted regions of the project in Armenia – Tavush, Gegharkunik and Syunik – will be trained on how to use SMART Method of Public Policy in order to facilitate the participation of citizens from local communities in the process of formulation of public policies.

Earlier this year partnerships were built with 10 NGOs from the regions of Tavush, Gegharkunik and Syunik who are willing to coordinate at local level the citizen engagement in the process of prioritization, design and implementation of local development policies. The reason for recruiting these organizations lays in the fact that they are closer to local communities and they understand their needs and problems better.
