“Nofi” non-commercial film festival to be held for the 3rd time in Armenia

YEREVAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS. “Nofi” non-commercial film festival will take place for the 3rd time in Armenia. The opening will be on May 28 this year and the fest will continue till June 2. Artashes Hovhannisyan - the organizer of the festival, the head of the Center of Armenian Non-Commercial Cinema (CANC) – informed during a meeting with the journalists on May 25 that 45 non-commercial movies from 24 countries will be presented during the fest. Independent, professional, non-professional and student movies will be presented in the festival. “The authors of the movies are united by the love towards the non-commercial, free and independent movie. Movie produced for conviction and idea and not for money or order,” Armenpress reports that he said.

The Dean of Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema, committee member Aneta Yerznkyan said that the festival has its place in the Armenian festival reality. ''It is nice that this year the movies presented at the festival are more diverse and interesting,'' she said.
