“Spayka” has again stored the potatoes for export

YEREVAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS. “Spayka” LLC has again stored the potatoes intended for export. During the fire in the warehouse the potatoes, stored for export, were all burnt. In an conversation with “Armenpress” Karen Baghdasaryan – the head of the department of management of projects of the company - informed that the necessary portion was stored again and already exported. “We have stored potatoes of 50-100 tons all of which has been exported,” – he said. Baghdasaryan informed that the company stores potatoes mainly from Gekharkunik and Shirak regions.

“Spayka” had problems with the export of potatoes. The head of the department of management of projects of the company mentioned that it was very hard for them to store potatoes necessary for export as high-quality potatoes almost did not remain.

Fire broke out in Spayka LLC, located in 252 Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan. By preliminary data, the three-storey building with a total area of 5000 square meters was fully burnt. Fortunately, the fire caused no victims or wounded. The corresponding specialists are carrying out researches to find out the real reasons for the fire. Only after that it would be possible to define the total damage of the Company. The firemen of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia extinguished the fire. The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia as well visited the place of the incident.
