YEREVAN, MAY 24, ARMENPRESS: The situation surrounding shoplifting in the Czech Republic has grown critical, last year the Czechs stole goods worth almost 10 billion crowns (about 4 million), and this just includes what was reported from large shops, reports Armenpress referring to RIA Novosti.
If smaller shops were counted the amount would be much higher according to an official statement.
The situation worsened after the announced amnesty on January 1st this year, when many prisoners were pardoned by then President Vaclav Klaus.
The number of burglaries in the first months of 2013, compared to last year, has doubled.
