YEREVAN, MAY 24, ARMENPRESS: The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted today the newly assigned Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia Saif Mohammed Al Zaabi (Residence in Teheran) on the occasion of handing the copies of credentials. As Armenpress was reported by the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Armenian President’s Staff, Serzh Sargsyan congratulated Saif Mohammed Al Zaabi and wished him good luck.
The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates discussed the bilateral relations of the two countries and the opportunities to develop the cooperation in different fields. The interlocutors emphasized that the historically formed friendship of the Armenian and the Arab nations and the warm relations between the presidents of the two countries serve as a strong base for the active political dialogue.
Serzh Sargsyan and Saif Mohammed Al Zaabi highlighted the organization of the Armenian-Emirates intergovernmental commission’s session in the nearest future and the discussion of the mutually interesting issues.
At the meeting the President of the Republic of Armenia and the newly assigned Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia discussed as well the importance of the activation of the diplomatic relations.
